Egypt Launches Online Int’l Quran Courses

The Awqaf ministry of Egypt has launched three online Quran courses for learners from countries.    

The ministry said 85 applicants from countries in different continents have taken the courses.

They are from Russia, the US, France, Germany, Nigeria, Congo, and Ivory Coast among others.

They receive lessons on Quran reading, recitation, memorization and Quranic concepts, Akhbar al-Yawm website reported.

Those who successfully pass the courses will receive certificates of memorization of one-fourth of the Holy Quran.

Using the cyberspace for teaching the Quran and offering online Quranic courses have developed in recent years as they provide people all over the world with the opportunity to learn the Quran.

 In Egypt, the Awqaf ministry is tasked with organizing, coordinating and overseeing Quranic and religious activities.
